Deep experience in the banking or finance industries required
Proven experience in leading multiple projects and teams
Ability to estimate, plan, staff, and deliver complex projects
Experience translating and articulating team's and firm's goals into business strategy with stakeholders and clients
Prior experience managing Business Analysts and System Analysts
Experience working in Agile environment
Experience in Loan IQ; migration, user, operations manager or business owner required
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Loan IQ knowledge as a user, Operations Manager, or Business Owner is required, preferably including active participation in design/migration/implementation/upgrade initiatives
Extensive background in supporting all aspects of commercial lending
In-depth knowledge of:
Accounting principles and practices related to syndicated lending
Risk types, policies, control measures and processes
Applicable laws, rules, regulations governing the space
Business processes, systems and tools used in the loan market
Operational risk that exists throughout the lifecycle of a syndicated loan
Systems used to manage the Syndicated lending business: ACBS, Loan IQ, AFS, ClearPar, Syndtrak, Intralinks, Debt Domain, Versana etc.
Market initiatives to streamline and automate settlement and servicing, including API integration with industry standard platforms, FpML, Blockchain, DLT, OCR, Robotics/Automation
Advanced analytical & problem-solving skills applicable to streamlining operational processes and improving productivity and efficiency
Prior industry association or working group involvement (e.g. LSTA, LMA) a plus
Strong SQL skills
Understanding various application functionalities that translate across products
Strong planning, estimating, organization, and leadership skills
Effective use of collaboration tools
Consistently able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive the streamlining and optimization of loan settlement and servicing, including an in-depth evaluation of loan procedures and industry standards to address and resolve challenges
Act as key stakeholder in large-scale Commercial Loan initiatives (e.g.: Loan IQ migration; OCR/RPA initiatives, etc.), able to effectively communicate and drive change from pre-planning through implementation with various change management & technology groups
Partner globally with internal change stakeholders across Operations and Technology to create/enhance the efficiency of workflows, dashboards, and reporting
Drive strategic change within the commercial lending space, which has day-to-day operational responsibilities across the portfolio of syndicated credit facilities where MUFG acts as Administrative Agent, Bilateral Lender, or Participant/Member to a syndicated transaction.
Drive process improvement/project and initiative work
Analyze, define, and document client requirements
Revise existing systems logic challenges, as necessary
Provide gap analysis and facilitate future business process modeling for clients
Translate requirements into technical design specifications
Formulate and define the system scope and objectives
Participate in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems that are cost effective and meet business requirements
Assist in multiple project management processes through planning, quality assurance, and effective assessment
Conduct research and analysis on effectiveness and efficiency of current processes and systems
Establish project metrics and processes to ensure client requirements are fully met
Monitor client experiences and feedback on the use of business applications.
Communicate with key stakeholders on project expectations and priorities
Direct business process improvement projects for internal business groups
Monitor the implementation of business analysis processes, procedures, and methodologies, optimizing those as needed
Consult on business cases, referring to the project's scope, objectives, budget, schedule and risk assessment, while considering how these aspects integrate with other IT business operations
Consult on the frameworks, methodologies, and processes involved in business requirements traceability for BA teams
Lead business analysts in the collation and articulation of business requirements, ensuring strategic alignment between technology and business functions
Plan, design, develop, and deploy system solutions based on the requirements analysis
Prototype and test solutions to ensure all problems and concerns are properly solved
Perform cost-benefit and ROI analysis; design and deploy applications and modules
Develop paper-based and electronic documents and content for system or program documentation
Write and edit training programs and materials
Convert existing documentation to alternative delivery media
Apply relevant quality, regulatory standards, and best practices for readability
Review, edit, and enhance existing documentation or content of user manuals, webpages, or other delivery media
Identify and document all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes
Provide expertise, guidance, recommendations, and senior level consulting services to internal business groups on process improvement projects designed to improve their business results, to address and resolve business issues, and to problem-solve for clients and technology teams throughout the business analysis process
Lead complex projects to assess business needs and recommend technical solutions
Provide technical guidance to colleagues
Lead teams in delivery of complex projects
EDUCATION
Degree or equivalent work experience equally preferable.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline (Business, Banking, Information Systems)
Master's degree
The typical base pay range for this role is between $202K - $275K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
