Limited Scope Radiographer (PRN) – Cedar City Hospital

Cedar City, UT | PRN (as-needed) | Rotating hours
Pay: $20.67/hr

Job Summary

Performs imaging exams for which the employee meets the Core Exam Specifications and as allowed by their Limited Scope Radiographer license. Employee must demonstrate competency in these areas through successful completion of skills test/competency review.

What You’ll Do (Essential Functions)

In this role, you’ll be trusted to deliver safe, high-quality imaging while creating a calm, supportive patient experience:

  • Prepare and protect: Verify patient identity and orders, prepare patients for exams, and ensure patient/staff safety with strong radiation protection practices and guideline adherence.
  • Deliver excellent patient care: Explain procedures clearly to patients/families, address concerns, and remain sensitive to patient needs to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation.
  • Produce quality images: Perform radiologic exams that meet quality standards by using correct protocols, positioning, and effective equipment operation.
  • Respond when it matters most: Recognize emergent patient situations and respond quickly and appropriately.
  • Document and coordinate: Complete required documentation (including time stamps and image storage) and communicate pertinent patient-care information to other care providers following procedures.
  • Maintain readiness: Keep a clean, organized, safe environment; ensure supplies/equipment are stored efficiently; and pursue ongoing education—especially for new procedures and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Licensure as a Practical Radiologic Technologist/Limited Scope Operator in state of practice OR ARRT Board Registry Eligible per state requirements
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for healthcare providers [
  • Demonstrated competency in at least one of the following areas:
    Chest, Extremities, Spine, Skull, Podiatry, Bone Densitometry (DEXA)
