What You’ll Get to Do:

As a CACI-SOAS Concept Development Subject Matter Expert (SME) you will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, and articulating concepts for the employment of current and future military capabilities in US Army North (ARNORTH) homeland defense operations and contingency plans. Also responsible for integrating new and existing concept of employment into G5 planning efforts, symposiums, and ARNORTH training and exercise events.  Liaises with external Army, DoD, Interagency, Academic, and Industry organizations as required to understand emerging capabilities and how they will impact future homeland defense operations. Drafts and edits correspondence, policy, engagement, and outreach programs in support of ARNORTH’s Future of HD Project.

More About the Role:

You will directly collaborate with the ARNORTH G5 staff, and other ARNORTH Directorates to refine Future of HD efforts and develop concept inputs to Army and Joint publications.  You will have direct access to the ARNORTH staff, a graphic designer, a TTX Wargame Planner, Research/Experimentation Planner and other SMEs from academia and private industry to formulate a complete understanding of the current and future Homeland Defense operational environments. You will provide support to ARNORTH staff to facilitate the production of high-quality concepts and concept graphics. Draft and edit correspondence that support ARNORTH Homeland Defense policy, engagements, and out-reach programs. When required, you will also assist in compiling, editing, and production of after-action reports and Lessons Learned products.  

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:  

  • Current SECRET security clearance.
  • Current knowledge of Army doctrine development and Army future requirements and concept development, and the organizations involved in those efforts.
  • Master’s degree and US Army War College graduate or equivalent JPME institution.   
  • Possess minimum of 5 years of congressional affairs experience advancing Military and Defense policy and resource.
  • Experience and expertise in developing, implementing, and managing emerging concepts focused on future concepts that integrate emerging technologies.
  • Experience developing strategic documents that communicate requirements to a variety of audiences on the criticality of the organization’s role in national security.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts as required -may include nights and weekends.

 These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:  

  • Major Army Command (MACOM) or Joint Staff experience in support of strategic level planning initiatives.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,500 - $181,500
