Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Contracts & Pricing (C&P) organization seeks a highly motivated individual to join its Pricing & Estimating (P&E) Team as Sr. Principal Pricing Analyst (A04) at our Sector headquarters located in Linthicum, MD.  Preference is for this individual to be onsite, however, a hybrid work schedule is a viable option, subject to demands of the business and/or program preferences to which individual is assigned.  A 9/80 work schedule is also a viable option for this position.  This role may periodically require travel, not expected to exceed 10% of the time.

What you will get to do:

Candidates will be expected to fulfill a key role in the organic and future growth of the business by managing proposal efforts from receipt of Request of Proposal (RFP) through contract award.  Individual must be collaborative, working with Capture / Proposal Mgrs. but also self-motivated and capable of executing assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.  Individual should possess a strong orientation towards regulatory compliance and focused on ensuring our Estimating Business System approval is maintained.

Job Duties & Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Plan, manage and execute proposal efforts.

  • Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications, company policies, Government regulations and customer requirements.

  • Coordinates with contributors from across all functional organizations to ensure quality proposals are prepared and submitted within customer deadlines. 

  • Assist Sector Independent Cost Estimating with cost / price analysis, as well as proposal risk and opportunity assessment(s).

  • Lead Special Projects for the P&E organization such as process improvements, tool implementations and develop training curriculums

  • Work closely with Program Management and Supply Chain Management to ensure supplier quotes comply with requirements.

  • Conduct research and critically analyze large volumes of information using data mining and analytic skills to identify, isolate and prioritize key data.

  • Work collaboratively with the proposal team to develop creative solutions to complex contractual requirements.

  • Synopsize and present detailed proposal information to advance internal management reviews, C101 commitment approvals and customer fact-finding.

  • Assist in developing negotiation strategies, to include participating as an active member of negotiation Team.

  • Proactive actively share accumulated pricing & estimating knowledge to foster development of P&E talent.   

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of proposal, pricing, or financial related experience - OR - Master's Degree with 8+ years of proposal, pricing or financial related experience.

  • Will consider additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Ability and willingness to obtain DoD Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing working knowledge of:

    • MS P&E Props & pricing tools (i.e. QUEST, BOENext, etc… ©).

    • Proficiency with Deltek Propricer.

    • Prior exposure / experience working high profile & competitive proposals.

    • FAR/DFARS and other Government Regulations

    • Probability modeling (@Risk or Crystal Ball) & S-Curve development.

    • Parametric modeling

    • Advance Excel capabilities / macros / modeling  

    • Experience conducting cost analysis & risk modeling.

    • SAP/S4

  • Certified Estimating Professional (CEP).

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

  • Current, active DoD Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance.

Salary Range: $104,900.00 - $157,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
