Job Description

  • Our Loan Capital Markets (LCM) Team

    What you’ll do

    Become a financial market specialist, while working in a dynamic and supportive team environment. Over the course of our 3-year program, you will receive accelerated learning and skill development through a mix of formal training, mentorship, and a community of peers and advisors.

    As a loan capital markets development program analyst, you’ll:

    • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of global foreign exchange markets, including macroeconomic factors, political events, and monetary policy decisions that impact currency movements.
    • Execute FX client transactions, including spot, forward and option trades, as well as order management and trade query resolution.
    • Prepare presentation materials and help develop and test risk management strategies to help mitigate currency risk exposure across various portfolios.
    • Collaborate with broader client coverage teams including relationship bankers, treasury management consultants, and credit risk managers in addressing client needs.  
    • Work closely with our internal trading, middle and back-office teams to support client trading activity. 
    • Contribute to a dynamic team environment by providing support to colleagues across all activities on the desk.
    • Build a supportive community of peers through a variety of cohort strengthening activities such as social events, volunteer days, and development workshops

    Who we’re looking for

    We’re looking for intellectually curious and creative thinkers who can think on their feet and thoughtfully react to a changing market.

    Basic qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree. Major or minor in economics or finance preferred
    • Ability to start fulltime development program on June 23, 2025

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Superior time management, including multi-tasking abilities and prioritizing daily tasks
    • Quantitative skills - preferred proficiency in Excel (including VBA) and Tableau, including data manipulation and statistical modelling. Familiarity with Bloomberg also preferable.
    • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills, with the ability to design and present information in a clear, concise, and compelling fashion
    • The ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment while retaining acute attention to detail 
    • Self-motivated with a keen desire to learn and contribute within a dynamic team environment

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $78,965.00 - $92,900.00 - $102,190.00
