In this vital role you will work closely with executive management across the Operations functions, ensuring that communications and strategies are aligned with the organization’s goals. The Senior Manager will be responsible for leading and maintaining effective communication systems within the Operations Corporate Affairs function, facilitating both internal and external communications, and ensuring consistent messaging across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing communication strategies and ensuring successful execution of projects and meetings aligned with Operations goals. The role requires a strategic problem solver who can provide communications oversight to the Operations Leadership team while supporting Site Communication Leads globally.

The ideal candidate will have a track record in corporate communications, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams. This position is critical for maintaining the integrity and consistency of our corporate messaging and enhancing our communication efforts across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement communication strategies to advance Operations objectives.

  • Provide strategic planning insights using communications data and analytics to inform business decisions.

  • Develop and manage integrated corporate communications strategies, including messaging, thought leadership, content creation, and public relations.

  • Oversee press release drafting, distribution, and internal review processes with leadership, legal, and compliance teams.

  • Create corporate communications materials, including Q&As, fact sheets, executive talking points, social media content, and website materials, in collaboration with external agencies and internal partners.

  • Manage external communications agencies and budgets to support Operations communications strategy.

  • Maintain Operations Corporate Affairs internal websites and platforms, ensuring up-to-date information, clear narratives, and alignment with Operations objectives.

  • Track and communicate progress on communications initiatives and goals.

  • Collaborate with executive management to align communications strategies with organizational goals.

  • Provide guidance and support to Site Communication Leads globally, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies.

  • Ensure consistent messaging and brand integrity across all platforms.

  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to enhance corporate communications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED and 12 years of Communications and/or Corporate Affairs experience OR

  • Associates degree and 10 years of Communications and/or Corporate Affairs experience OR

  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Communications and/or Corporate Affairs experience OR

  • Master's degree and 4 years of Communications and/or Corporate Affairs experience OR

  • Doctorate and 2 years of Communications and/or Corporate Affairs experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience in a leadership role managing corporate communications and overseeing complex projects.

  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence at an executive level.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling messages.

  • Experience in a global organization managing communications across multiple sites.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.

  • Strong understanding of Operations.

  • Ability to translate technical language into everyday terms.

  • Creative thinking in both conceptual/visual approaches and problem-solving.

  • Adaptability in a rapidly changing environment with comfort in uncertainty.

  • Strong organizational, time, and project management skills.

  • Demonstrated experience writing effective social media posts, web content, and press releases.

  • Experience creating compliant content for corporate social media channels.

  • Ability to manage corporate intranet systems.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence different functions and levels of the organization.

  • High integrity, team orientation, and respect for others.

  • Experience partnering with and influencing executive leadership.

  • Experience in cross-functional business operations or strategic project management.

  • Ability to develop executive-ready materials from disparate information.

  • Deep attention to detail and experience with fact-checking.

  • Understanding of SEC and FDA regulations impacting communications.

  • Ability to foster collaboration and consistently deliver on-time while exemplifying what we value and leadership attributes.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
