Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting/Finance Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting/finance, including month end close, budgeting, system integration and finance support activities. The ideal candidate will support our accounting/finance operations and contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes.
This full-time ten-week internship program will take place June through August of 2025.
Key Responsibilities
Month End Close:
Perform journal entries within QAD and/or SAP during the month end close.
Monitor and analyze the financial results for the month/quarter to provide key drivers to leadership.
Execute on quarterly account reconciliations including preparation, submission and follow-ups.
Budgeting:
Assist in the creation of cost center templates for the Libertyville team.
Communicate with cost center owners regarding data requirements, headcount and timelines for templates.
Support in the consolidation of the cost center templates for the Budgeting cycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the drivers of the Budget roll-up.
System Integration:
Assist in the UAT testing for Libertyville move to SAP from QAD
Support in documenting processes within SAP.
Verifying data within SAP for the current integration step
General Accounting/Finance:
Assist in the implementation of accounting/finance improvement projects and initiatives.
Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to discussions on accounting/finance strategies.
Support the preparation of reports and presentations related to accounting/finance performance and activities.
Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of Accounting & Finance principles and practices is a plus.
Prior internship or work experience in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not required.
