Backend Developer

Experience Level: Senior 

Position Overview: 

As our Senior Engineer (Back End), you'll be responsible for building new features, enhancing the existing ones as well as supporting them in production. You will also be responsible for building reusable libraries or technology platforms that address multiple use cases. You will work towards delivering specific milestones and objectives in a very dynamic environment. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work along with development team leads on assigned tasks. 
• Communicate effectively and work with limited guidance from the leads. 
• A Team player and willing to explore new technologies. 
• Able to handle the daily challenges of the fast paced technical environment. 

Must Have Skills:

• 7+Years of experience in software developement.
• Preferred experience in streaming technologies, protocols, codecs and standards and micro services architecture. 
• Have a solid understanding of design patterns and hands-on knowledge in applying these concepts to practical problems 
• Have experience in working with distributed systems and building/maintaining highly-available applications and services, preferably on a cloud platform such as AWS, Google Cloud, or other hybrid cloud environment 
• Have the ability to convert ideas in working products through high quality code.
• Have some prior experience in developing production ready code and software products.
• Have experience in building and managing both internally consumed and externalized micro services based applications, with a solid understanding of the challenges presented by the architecture including inter-service communication, service discovery, distributed log collection, monitoring and independent scaling of services, etc. 
• Have a clear understanding of API gateways, load balancers, API lifecycle management and other considerations such as throttling/rate-limiting, secure access, etc., preferably with hands-on experience on Nginx and/or Apigee. 

Have hands-on experience in at least one of the programming languages: Golang, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript. 

• Have hands-on experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, Git. 
• Have experience working in an Agile environment and the ability to work in a constantly evolving project, without losing sight of the requirements or the overall vision

Good to Have Skills:

• Preferred experience in Elasticsearch and Kibana (ELK Stack) 
• Proficiency in at least one modern web front-end development framework such as React JS will be a bonus
• Preferred experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ 

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
