Job Description:

The IT Solutions Design Specialist leads the creation of a comprehensive end-to-end detailed solution with overall accountability for the technical design and delivery of the System Design Specification (SDS) and is largely focused on large-scale, complex or enterprise projects. May also be accountable for complex programming / coding.  The rapid pace of change makes it a business imperative for us to add a SAP Developer with strong ABAP Development and related module background to our growing team.  

Depth & Scope:

  • Provides technical expertise and guidance to others in a lead capacity and works autonomously
  • Expert knowledge of the business, the broader organization, technical environment, processes, procedures, tools and other relevant technology areas (e.g. Architecture, Infrastructure, Security etc.) from a design / support / solutions perspective
  • Primary subject matter expert in multiple areas and consults with clients/or project teams with respect to all aspects of research, analysis, design, hardware / software support and/or development of technical solutions and/or testing
  • Works autonomously and leads on a diverse range of activities (e.g. design, support of technical business solutions) and is relied upon to coach / educate and monitor the work of others
  • Acts as an internal expert resource in the exchange of technical information for project teams, and provides technical insight and recommendations to the business and/or outside vendors
  • Typically reports to a Senior IT Development Manager or higher

  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of ABAP development experience of SAP ERP
  • 3+ years of experience working with SAP ECC FI and CO functional modules such as:
    • General Ledger
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Bank Accounting
    • Cash Management
    • Cost Center Accounting
    • Profit Center Accounting
  • Experience with IDOCS , Creating Web Services, debugging
  • Knowledge of LOCKBOX/BAI files and processes
  • Experience working with interfaces and integration with third-party systems such as: AutoSys scheduler, Webservice calls, MQ, File Transfers/TIBCO
  • Leads the development of detailed, complex and/or comprehensive project plans and understands impact / risk of integrating third party solutions

Additional nice to have qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Linux scripting
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment
  • Experience with Git-based source control systems such as GitHub
