Job Description Summary:

This position provides administrative and non-clinical support services to the assigned area(s).

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one (1) year previous healthcare experience preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Medical Terminology preferred.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification preferred or must be successfully obtained within six (6) months of hire.
  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn other software as needed.  Demonstrated data entry skills preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Performs administrative and technical skills in an organized and accurate manner according to Logan Health policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for scheduling appointments, interviews, testing, etc. per department protocol.
  • Efficiently and timely responds to phone calls and routes appropriately as needed.
  • Assists department staff to ensure patients are being seen in a timely manner.
  • Enters provider’s written orders in the designated computer system per department protocol.
  • Assists with ordering and maintaining supplies in collaboration with assigned leadership
  • Responsible for creating, maintaining and preparing patient charts. 
  • The above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification.  Specific duties and responsibilities may vary based upon departmental needs.  Other duties may be assigned similar to the above consistent with knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.  Not all of the duties may be assigned to a position.

Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
