Join us in this exciting role in CDAO - FAS! The data governance analyst will manage and lead data governance processes and initiatives to enable Data and Analytics to unlock value of data and ensure compliant usage. Deepen relationships and business acumen while consulting with CDAO FAS Data Insights, Product Ownership, Sales leaders, and external vendors. Become an expert in the data managed and provide thought leadership into transformative initiatives.
You will help implement enterprise and industry best practices in data governance inclusive of metadata management, establishing trusted sources of data, and use case enablement. This role will also allow you the ability to influence and implement cross functional process changes across Analytics teams, Engineering, Data Strategy, and Data Management.
Responsibilities:
Manages large and/or complex data governance projects and initiatives. Assists in developing domain strategies and leads initiatives within data governance.
Provides expertise on data governance and supports the execution of data governance strategy across the enterprise. Supports the integration of deliverables across divisional and program work streams.
Analyzes, identifies, and recommends controls within area of data governance expertise. Supports and coordinates responses to elevated questions and issues. Updates and maintains data governance program tools and templates to ensure data integrity and availability.
Creates and develops metrics for associated areas of data governance expertise. Develops and identifies solutions to business, project, and program issues using research, design, and analytical reasoning. Recommends solutions on data governance initiatives to further advance program goals and objectives.
Establishes and maintains business and stakeholder relationships to ensure ongoing communication, process, and technology integration. Anticipates business needs and ensures client satisfaction related to the services being provided.
Maintains understanding of industry trends in data governance and provide updates to the team to build business acumen. Leads data governance specialist forums to enhance the knowledge and awareness of program initiatives and goals throughout the enterprise.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five years related work experience.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
Data Governance & Metadata management experience required.
Stakeholder management experience
Utilize strong data analysis skills to tell compelling stories and recommend process improvements.
