Lead Software Engineer F/T
Overview
Responsible for software development implementations, taking high-level requirements and producing robust solutions within predefined timelines, scope limitations, and per Agile SDLC methodology.
Role.
• Responsible for research, planning, estimation, designing, and ensuring customizations and integration components meet the business needs.
• Interface with the business operations and product teams for technical specifications.
• Participate in customer support processes.
• Design and code all aspects of solutions within a dynamic, rapid application environment involving a diverse technology stack.
• Produce quality, tested, and documented code.
• Provide training on coding standards and best practices to team members.
• Act as a mentor to team members and aid in adherence to established coding techniques and standards.
About You
• Position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related and two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or as a Software Engineer, IT Engineer, Software Developer, Technical Lead, Programmer Analyst, or related. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience.
• Qualifying experience must include at least one (1) year with each of the following: Owning development life cycle: requirements analysis, architecture, design, coding, testing, and delivery of solutions; Coding experience building highly scalable, highly available full-stack Java applications; Architecting and developing services using Java EE frameworks (Spring Boot/Spring Cloud/Spring IO, etc.); Building responsive Single Page Web Applications using front-end technologies like HTML5/ CSS3/ JavaScript/jQuery or similar; Agile development methodologies: Unit testing/test-driven development (TDD)/Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD)/Pair Programming/Automated Testing; SDLC methodologies: Agile/SCRUM; Working with contemporary API and architectural concepts including REST or Microservices; 12-factor app architecture, design, and implementation; AWS Cloud Experience.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Ranges
O'Fallon, Missouri: $140,000 - $231,000 USD
