Overview:

We are seeking a technically adept and driven Regional Sales Manager to join our team! Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record within the powder handling industry, with an ability to take conceptual technical idea and work collaboratively with client to refine to comprehensive saleable solution. The focus of the role is to execute strategic growth plans, with a bias towards technical competencies and taking customers on the journey from discovery through to engineered solution.

The role will be primarily challenged with developing sales growth in the Eastern US and Canada region. The role will predominantly involve developing new opportunities with businesses operating in the target segments of food, pharma and industrial.

The Regional Sales Manager will be required to travel regularly within the region, as well as occasional international travel to support other business activities (training, exhibitions, customer visits etc).

Key Duties:

  • New Business Development: hunt for new sales opportunities for the MATCON line.  This work will include web research, contacting via email/Linked-In, telephone and networking.

  • Agent Management: manage existing Business Line Channel Partners to support growth initiatives and effectively develop opportunities.

  • Build Advocacy: Coordinate reference site visits with existing customers to demonstrate Matcon equipment in operation

  • Secure and manage Trials: Facilitate safe powder handling trials at UK and US test plants

  • Lead Quote creation: Ensure quotations offer consistent messaging, appropriate content and are aligned with the audience

  • Market Insight: Feedback industry trends to R&D and leadership team for continuous product development

  • Marketing: Work collaboratively with the marketing team on the input and execution of marketing plans.  This will include planning and execution of exhibitions and seminars in the territory.

  • Reporting & Information Systems:  Ensure the Group’s Sales & Marketing information system (“Dynamics 365”) is routinely updated – especially in relation to customer visits, quoting, forecasting and similar information.  Assist with production of reports.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel internationally but predominately within the Americas region

The role is full-time remote role, based out of Home Office.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within powder handling industry or related industries.
  • Demonstration of significant sales to Senior/Executive level decision makers.
  • Knowledgeable on mechanical and controls specifications
  • Able to take complex processes and communicate clear tasks to the business
  • Work with clients to ensure suitable interfacing requirements are achieved
  • Comfortable with regional and industry specific regulations
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Skillset to move projects methodically and intentionally through the sales cycle
  • Maintain relationships to build trust and advocacy within the client network
  • Good listening skills, with high levels of attention to detail
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to multi-task
