About the Role:  As a Carrier Sales Associate you are responsible for the coverage of our customers freight and ensuring it’s seamlessly serviced. You will be responsible for developing relationships with carrier companies, and committing to sustaining and growing those relationships through consistent and strategic communication. The ideal candidate is mission driven. They are looking for an opportunity to be innovative and join a highly successful and competitive sales team. We provide a comprehensive training program for this role where employees will gain industry knowledge, learn about Flock Freight’s specialized technology, and gain understanding of logistical sales to apply towards the growth of their book of business and the growth of the company.

Responsibilities: 

  • Identify and pursue new carrier partnerships through cold calls and email communication to expand the network and improve service offerings
  • Apply strategic and tactical sales skills to achieve optimal economic outcomes and optimize carrier utilization
  • Work collaboratively with customer success teams to achieve high levels of service for customers and carriers
  • Ensure freight moves successfully through Flock Freight’s platform by focusing on daily execution
  • Properly document truck capacity within Flock Freight system, continuously bringing coverage options to customer success team for all shipments
  • Proactively track shipments and work with tracking team to increase efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Consistently deliver on goals and metrics set by Carrier Success Management team
  • Leverage Flock Freight’s digital platform and core pooling product

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong work-ethic
  • Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident decision making and problem solving skills
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast paced environment

Compensation:

The expected compensation for this position is $23/hour + variable bonus. When determining an offer, we take into account a variety of factors that are important in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill sets; experience and tenure; education and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed estimate is based on market data. Salary amounts may, in some circumstances, be adjusted to a different geographic area depending on the candidate's position and location.

In addition to salary, full-time employees are also eligible for an equity package and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Flock Freight. Our policy is that we target candidates local to one of Flock Freight’s headquarters locations (San Diego and Chicago) and ask that employees work in-office.
