We’re currently looking for a Sustainability Intern to join our team.  The position will be at Headquarters in Franklin, TN and will be a full-time role for Fall 2024.

The Intern will work closely with our Sustainability team members and related stakeholders and will be exposed to a broad spectrum of the department operational and administrative projects. The intern will be responsible for sustainability reporting and working with key functions to assess risks and opportunities. Responsibilities may include basic research and writing, generating executive presentations, presenting to department members on issues of interest and applicability in the automotive industry, researching industry trends  and reporting frameworks, gathering and analyzing data from stakeholders, preparing performance reports, supporting sustainability audits with global counterparts, supporting internal stakeholder reporting, supporting department operational and administrative initiatives, participating in meetings with business clients to learn more about how Nissan drives innovation to enrich people’s lives.

In order to qualify for this role, you must:

  • Currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a focus on Environmental Science or Business Administration or a related field
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and Tableau a plus.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to the highest quality of client service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Energetic, adaptable and flexible to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Experience or interest in business and a corporate environment.
  • Genuine interest in the automotive industry. 
  • Ability to perform work onsite at NNA HQ in Franklin, Tennessee.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive matters required; knowledge of online legal research tools preferred but not required.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, fun, flexible yet challenging environment, with wonderful people and a positive outlook.
