About Us – Neosho Acute Care and Operating Room
Neosho Acute Care and Operating Room are integral parts of Freeman Neosho Hospital, a general medical and surgical hospital with 25 beds. Our Acute Care unit specializes in caring for General Medical patients, as well as those with Orthopedic and General Surgical needs. We handle a variety of diagnoses, including Respiratory Illness, GI Illness, Diabetes, and Post-op care. This unit offers a unique opportunity to learn a wide range of skills and manage diverse medical conditions.
Our Operating Room features two operating rooms and one endoscopy room, facilitating a variety of general surgery and endoscopy procedures. We are staffed by one general surgeon and one orthopedic surgeon, ensuring comprehensive surgical care for our patients.

What You'll Do
Develop, plan, implement, direct, coordinate and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Acute Care, Swingbed Program, Inpatient and Outpatient Wound Care and Outpatient Infusion Services. Responsible for the day to day clinical operations on all nursing units at Freeman Neosho Hospital. Develops, implements and evaluates projects and initiatives focused on improving clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. Collaborates with coworkers to develop and foster an effective working environment. Collaborates with other management team members to develop and foster an effective clinical climate working jointly with administration, physicians, and staff to develop the nursing departments mission, vision, values, goals, long range plans, services, and capital and operational budgets, and approve policies and procedures.
Requirements
BSN
AHA ACLS within 30 days.
AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.
AHA PALS Provider within 180 days.
NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 60 days.
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) within 90 days.
RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 120 days.
