Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer. We hire smart, focused, passionate self-starters who bring energy, new ideas and practical experience to our fast paced, dynamic team.

 

We essentially need a strong technically skilled person who can participate in the design and architecture of solutions while ensuring the quality delivery of product. You must be an independent, hands-on developer that also reviews code from rest of the team. In other words, you are a Software Developer with an Architect mentality.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Discuss technical solutions with the development team, communicate goals and facilitate execution.
• Lead functional and technical design reviews as part of the development team.
• Code and deliver the features requested by the Product Owner.
• Own the product quality by following TDD, PR reviews and providing feedback to others.
• Follow best practices for the software development life cycle
• Manage tech debt and refactoring to continuously improve quality and performance.

 

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s equivalent in Computer Science / Relevant degree in Engineering
• 6+ years of progressive experience in distributed computing using modern tech stacks and not legacy enterprise applications
• Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, Maven, REST APIs, DB schema design, JUnit, Mockito, Git
• Nice to have skills in Big Data, AI/ML, Elastic Search, Docker, Kubernetes
• Good knowledge of the AWS Java SDK, especially S3, SES, SQS.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Should be able to manage stakeholder expectations and work on multiple deliverables.
• Good knowledge of Agile process and methodologies.
• Experience writing code for 3rd party API integrations
• Good understanding of event-oriented architectures
