OVERVIEW

Join ALO’s Artificial Intelligence and Data Science team to explore the frontiers of applied AI in wellness, fashion, and retail. You’ll prototype intelligent systems that power personalization, content generation, computer vision, and decision automation. 

The ALO internship programs starts June 8th and ends July 31st. Interns will be working 40 hours a week at our Beverly Hills HQ.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Research and implement state-of-the-art machine learning and generative AI models
• Build prototypes for AI-powered product recommendations, personalization, and digital experiences
• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to evaluate models for accuracy, fairness, and interpretability
• Contribute to scalable model deployment pipelines and experimentation frameworks
• Document findings, benchmarks, and insights for future iterations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MS or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Science
• Strong foundations in statistics, optimization, and deep learning
• Proficiency with Python and frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Familiarity with cloud ML workflows (AWS Sagemaker, Vertex AI, or Databricks)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in generative modeling (LLMs, diffusion, or multimodal AI)
• Research exposure in reinforcement learning, embeddings, or representation learning
• Publications or open-source contributions in ML/AI fields
• Experience in implementing / developing model evaluation frameworks

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

You’ll work hands-on with real business and creative datasets, gaining experience in how AI augments customer experience and design workflows in a mission-driven brand.

The base pay range for this position is $45/hr-$50/hr which represents the current range for the non-exempt position. Please note that actual pay will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
