We are looking for a talented individual who shares our values to join our team as Warehouse Assistant. This role has a crucial role in maintaining an efficient and organized warehouse environment. The Warehouse Assistant must have thorough knowledge of products, the ability to maintain, and fulfil orders and inquiries in a timely manner. Overall, this role is vital for ensuring smooth warehouse operations and excellent customer service.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Product Knowledge: Possess a good knowledge of products in the warehouse.
  • Communication and Customer Relations: Establish effective communications and working relationships with internal and external customers; assist with fulfilling orders and addressing customer inquiries.
  • Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, ensuring efficient product storage and retrieval.
  • Forklift and Truck Operation: Drive forklift and truck where necessary to facilitate loading and deliveries.
  • Loading Assistance: Assist with loading of trucks and working with drivers to prepare deliveries on the road.
  • Unloading and Unpacking: Assist with the unpacking of containers and the unloading of trucks on arrival at the bond.
  • Inventory Packing: Assist with the packing of inventory into bonds and warehouse racking.
  • Stock Taking: Assist with the preparation and execution of Stock Taking exercises.

Perform any other related duties as directed by the Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements:

  • Mathematics and English CXCs are required; additional education in merchandising or a related field will be a plus.
  • One (1) year sales experience in warehouse operations, merchandising, or retail is preferred.
  • Driver's License

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer focused with general computer knowledge.
  • Forklift License is an asset.
