Job Summary:

POSITION SUMMARY
Working in the Sales Producer organization, the Sales Producer will focus on the selling insurance policies on behalf of insurance carriers who are Covenir clients. Product lines being sold include personal lines automobile, renters, homeowners and life insurance. We partner with carriers to help them expand into new markets, launch new products and distribution channels. The Sales Producer is responsible for presenting all coverage solutions to potential clients with the intent to drive new business purchases. Through a knowledgeable and consultative sales approach, the Sales Producer will be responsible for guiding all prospects through the purchasing process and for presenting additional lines of coverage or various products when appropriate.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Inbound Sales Producer will:

  • Work directly with insureds to sell insurance products that meet their insurance needs
  • Serves as a licensed subject matter expert for all lines of insurance provided by the client carrier
  • Engaging prospective customers through all communication channels including phone calls, chat features, SMS, social media, email, etc.
  • Consult, present and advise coverage with a focus on up selling and cross selling products to meet key customer needs and target sales goals
  • Follow processing guidelines as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures provided by assigned client company & maintain client guidelines to ensure policy accuracy
  • Work independently to accomplish position duties including meeting monthly sales incentive goals
  • Proactively reach out to all provided leads to drive sales and build the client carrier’s brand in a competitive market
  • Quickly adapt to new product offerings as well as periodic process improvement changes
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with insureds and client company representatives through friendly and professional interactions
  • Act as an ambassador in building a positive work culture for the team and overall company
  • Follows processing guidelines provided by assigned carrier customers to assure compliance and top level service
  • Works independently; manages workload effectively; multi tasks to accomplish position duties
  • Manages a high volume of work, and frequent procedural changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with insureds, agents and client company representatives through friendly, customer-oriented service
  • Processes high volumes of work with frequent procedural changes with accuracy rate of 98% or better when compared to Service Level Agreement targets
  • Assists as requested in other functional areas of Covenir to support client needs as required
  • Responds during catastrophic weather events to support peak level of claim call intake as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Maintains an active P&C License for the applicable state/lines of insurance
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in an insurance related position
  • Proven track record of success in a fast-paced insurance sales environment
  • CRM experience preferred
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to reason logically and provide solutions  
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented with strong multitasking skills
