Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Inbound Logistics Manager to join our team. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for the movement of all freight from manufacturers to our warehouse. In addition, this person will be responsible for managing freight forwarder relationships, ensure lane capacity, and work to mitigate shipping risk. This role will work very closely cross-functional with various teams from Fulfillment to Marketing. As a channel owner, and a critical member of the Supply Chain team, this role will be responsible for the inbound P&L, data collection, KPI management, and vendor management.

What You’ll Do:

  • Freight Management: Oversee the import, export, and delivery of freight from international and domestic vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective shipping to distribution centers.
  • KPI Development & Tracking: Create and manage weekly KPIs to monitor key metrics, including ex-factory dates, container on-time delivery, freight costs, vendor compliance, and container utilization.
  • Vendor & Freight Forwarder Relationships: Manage relationships with freight forwarders, continually improving service levels, reducing costs, and optimizing delivery times.
  • Customs Compliance: Oversee the customs clearance process, including HTS classification, import documentation, customs holds, and the duty drawback process.
  • Supplier Coordination: Work closely with suppliers to ensure all entry documents, certifications, and freight releases are completed before containers arrive at ports.
  • EDI Integration Management: Set up and maintain EDI integrations with vendors, ensuring the accuracy of data transmission and order delivery.
  • Risk Mitigation & Strategy: Stay informed on industry trends, and develop risk mitigation strategies to address changes in lane demand and capacity. Emphasize contingency planning through technology and automation.
  • Operational Efficiency: Continuously improve booking, tracking, and reporting processes to increase operational efficiency to reduce cost and waste.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of experience managing international import/export logistics for a consumer products company, with preferred experience using Flexport or CH Robinson (CHR).
  • 3-5 years of experience managing P&Ls in logistics.
  • Proven experience in managing the duty drawback process.
  • Ability to audit and manage EDI transmissions to ensure accurate and timely order deliveries.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams and external partners.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
  • Collaborative, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally to improve customer experience while controlling costs.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability.
  • Experience with Netsuite, Looker, and Google Suite is preferred.

Parachute takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. The estimated pay range for this role is $95,000 - $105,000.
