Job Description

This role has multiple levels, open to candidates with at least 5 years related experience. The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.

U.S. Bancorp Impact Finance (USBIF) is looking for a skilled Business Intelligence Developer to add to our Technology team. This individual will help advance the USBIF’s business intelligence (BI) capabilities and the way the company aggregates, stores, transforms, analyzes, and leverages its data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, ETL and report development, data modeling, and data warehousing. The Business Intelligence Developer will partner closely in an Agile, Scrum environment with our technology team and develop working knowledge of the USBIF’s data and reporting needs.

 

The USBIF Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for the end-to-end development and implementation of our BI solutions for the Impact Finance organization and their supporting technological infrastructure. Job duties include:

  • Independent database development using relational database management systems to create complex table structures, queries, procedures, functions, and jobs.
  • Design, development, and implementation of ETL processes between disparate systems.
  • Maintaining, updating, and establishing new features within our data warehouse based on requirements from our business line and data needs.
  • This role will create and maintain reports, data exports, and data visualization projects using existing and emerging tools leveraging both internal and external data sources.
  • Will support our existing solutions, identify, and resolve issues within our systems to maintain functionality and performance.
  • Developing high performing, maintainable, production quality solutions.
  • Establishes CI\CD builds and pipelines for all solutions, as necessary.
  • Will work collaboratively with the Impact Finance business and other areas of the organization to integrate new data into our systems and ensure consistency and data accuracy.

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 5 years experience within a total information technology (IT) environment.
-At least 2 years experience with tools, facilities and techniques for managing and administering data.
-At least 3 years experience with BI applications; decision support systems, query and reporting, online analytical processing, statistical analysis, forecasting, and data mining.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Extensive experience with SQL, T-SQL, and SQL Server.
  • Full understanding of relational database management systems
  • Experience with reporting, dashboards, and data visualization tools such as SSRS, Power-BI, and Tableau
  • Working knowledge of ETL design, implementation and troubleshooting of supporting tools such as SSIS, Informatica, Alteryx, and Tableau Data Prep
  • Experience with data modeling structures and best practices
  • Can translate business needs into working technical solutions
  • Experience working in an Agile, Scrum environment
  • Experience with source code management tools such as TFS\Azure DevOps, Git, GitLab, or GitHub
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Cloud experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Experience with Azure DevOps Server, Visual Studio 2022, and SQL Server Management Studio
  • Familiarity with requirements analysis, system testing tools, and system development life cycle
  • Working knowledge of analytics and statistical software like Excel, R, Python, or Hadoop are a plus
  • Prior work experience in banking, finance, and/or tax credit investments

Location Expectations

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $83,810.00 - $98,600.00 - $108,460.00
