Position Overview
The Temporary Transportation Coordinator will report to the Manager of Transportation and Logistics and play a critical role in managing carrier performance, monitoring deliveries, tracking payments, and ensuring communication flows smoothly between carriers, the transportation team, and other internal stakeholders. In this role, you will be directly interacting with customers and drivers to ensure the smooth execution of deliveries and address any issues. This role is essential to maintaining operational efficiency, particularly during our busy season, by ensuring timely deliveries and accurate payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and resolve outstanding payments related to transportation loads, collaborating with accounts payable and carriers.
- Review transportation paperwork for accuracy and finalize loads within the TMS.
- Proactively manage deliveries in progress, ensuring on-time arrivals and addressing any potential issues.
- Communicate directly with customers and drivers to provide updates and resolve delivery concerns.
- Analyze transportation data in spreadsheets and take on ad-hoc projects related to deliveries, delivery dates, and payment issues.
- Create and monitor transfer orders to ensure accurate and timely inventory receipt.
- Investigate and resolve delivery issues in TMS and with carriers, while partnering with the Customer Experience team to address customer concerns.

- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective internal and external relationships.
- Comfortable communicating directly with customers, farmers, and drivers.
- Adaptability to new technologies and evolving responsibilities.
Preferred Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in billing, accounting, or invoicing.
- 2-4 years of experience in transportation management.
- Experience with TMS software (E2Open preferred).
- Experience with NetSuite (preferred).
- Experience with Salesforce (a plus).

The following represents FBN's reasonable estimate of the US national average base salary range for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $20-$25/hr. This salary range may vary based on geography and the higher cost of labor in some metropolitan areas.
