Become a Champion for IT Careers: Spark excitement about the vast possibilities in IT by promoting job opportunities, internships, apprenticeships, and further education pathways for students, career changers, recent K-12 graduates, and even senior citizens interested in pursuing IT skills.
Bridge the Gap Between Individuals and Employers: Collaborate with companies to create paid internship programs, short-term training opportunities at community partner locations, and even IT camps for K-12 students, fostering a strong pipeline of future tech talent.
Empower Success: Be a supportive mentor and guide, helping individuals achieve academic excellence, develop strong career plans, connect them with valuable work-and-learn experiences like internships and co-ops, and offer peer tutoring to reinforce key IT concepts.
Enhance or Begin You’re Tech Whispering Skills
Depending on your worksite, you might have the chance to delve deeper into the IT field by:
Technical Support: Troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support (hardware & software) for students, faculty, and staff.
Hands-on IT: Assist with IT projects, maintain a strong technical infrastructure cabling, equipment, and ensure a smooth user experience by helping deploy campus computers.
Job Site Responsibilities (may vary):
Perform quality control checks, maintain records, and assist with various IT tasks as assigned (e.g., repairs, installations, network hardware).

Qualifications:
Be actively enrolled in an Information Technology program at Ivy Tech community college Indianapolis Campus. (At the beginning or end of your program is acceptable).

Has a genuine passion for helping others succeed, especially in the tech field.
Demonstrates strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
