We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist Clinical Consultant to join our team. This role involves providing expert clinical support and guidance to healthcare professionals using Micromedex solutions. The Pharmacist Clinical Consultant will have a role in both pre-sale and post-sale customer engagements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy and a passion for improving patient care through evidence-based practices. The Pharmacist Clinical Consultant serves as a strategic clinical advisor across pre-sale and post-sale engagements, partnering with Sales, Account Management, Product, and Editorial teams to influence buying decisions, drive customer adoption, and inform product direction. This role blends deep clinical pharmacy expertise with consultative selling, market insight, and thought leadership to advance medication safety and clinical decision support outcomes.
Preferred Requirements:
- Board certification in a pharmacy specialty (e.g., BCPS, BCACP) or PGY2 in Informatics or Management / Administration.
- Experience in health IT, clinical decision support, informatics, or industry roles
- Experience supporting enterprise healthcare organizations or complex sales cycles.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Professional doctorate degree (PharmD)
- Post-graduate residency training (PGY1)
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy.
Pre-Sale - Essential Duties / Responsibilities -
- Provides expert clinical guidance on the positioning of Micromedex tools and resources to sales and account executives to progress new logo or expansion opportunities to closure.
- Prepares and delivers clinical demonstrations for individual customer meetings, during conferences or tradeshow events that convey the overall utility and value of Micromedex.
- Answers clinical questions about solution applications and new features for prospects and to various groups within new and existing customer accounts.
- Build relationships with clinical stakeholders during evaluations to gain support for Micromedex selection.
- Maintains deep competitive insights that support sales strategies in differentiating Micromedex.
- Acts as a subject matter expert for RFI/RFP responses, clinical questionnaires, and proposal development
- Partners with Sales to shape opportunity strategy, including clinical qualification, objection handling, and competitive displacement.
- Engages directly with pharmacy, medication safety, informatics, and executive stakeholders to align Micromedex solutions with organizational priorities and regulatory requirements. Post Sale - Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Account Executives to support education and training for customers that maximize the use of Micromedex solutions.
- Supports user groups or other types of showcase events that drive preference for Micromedex solutions.
- Addresses clinical questions for customers leveraging deep product, content and editorial policy knowledge in collaboration with other SMEs as required.
- Guides customers in optimizing Micromedex usage to support medication safety initiatives, accreditation readiness, and clinical quality goals.
- Partners with Account Managers and Account Executives to identify expansion opportunities by aligning additional Micromedex capabilities to evolving clinical and operational needs.
- Serves as a trusted clinical advisor for complex customer questions related to content interpretation, evidence standards, and editorial policy.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Supports the training and enablement of new Sales and Account Management team members as well as cross-functional partners with understanding of and appreciation for the clinical application of Micromedex by users, clinical messaging, competitive insights, and best practices.
- Participate in the review and quality assurance of new features to ensure clinical and market relevance.
- Works closely with cross-functional teams, including implementation, product development, editorial, sales, and marketing, to bring market feedback, insight into emerging industry trends, visibility to user pain points, as well as competitive movements.
- Provides structured feedback on roadmap priorities, AI-enabled features, and emerging market needs to the Product and Editorial teams based on customer interactions and learnings.
- Contributes to sales enablement strategy through the development of clinical messaging, competitive insights, and best practices.
- Represents the clinical voice in cross-functional initiatives related to AI, analytics, and next generation clinical decision support.
- Strong, influential, written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Methodical and detail-oriented planner and problem-solver; ability to identify themes, risks, and recommend solutions.
- Reliable, dependable, and ability to keep a consistent schedule while working autonomously in a remote environment.

Compensation
The salary range provided in this job posting is intended to reflect the general market value for the position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific requirements of the role. This range may also be subject to change as market conditions evolve. We encourage open communication throughout the interview process to discuss compensation expectations. For base-salary + commission sales roles, the range represents On-Target Earnings.
