Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of people and manage the development of market differentiating electronic service tools. You will work with extensive technical and commercial organizations to migrate the current, wired product line to wireless technologies which will significantly improve the efficiency of the product support and service community.
What You Will Do:
• Managing a team of software development and validation engineers to ensure alignment with key stakeholder and customer goals.
• Monitoring and improving performance for all development activities.
• Create an environment to ensure the development and maintenance of high-quality enterprise software service products.
• Managing investments from multiple sources and aligning the budget with stakeholder expectations.
• Mentoring team members to ensure alignment with enterprise and individual career aspirations.
• Communicating enterprise service strategy to multiple levels of enterprise leadership to ensure alignment and support.
Education Requirement:
• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum.

• Provides technical approach to corresponding commercial requirements relating to the enterprise product service strategy.
• Manages worldwide dependencies for all deliverables with teams throughout the enterprise.
• Allocates resources to align with stakeholder priorities and present solution options and trade-offs to support client expectations.
• Communicates technical service strategy to department and stakeholder groups.
Technical Excellence:
• Coaches team to align design decisions to stakeholder requirements and to explore all possible solutions.
• Engages resources outside of the team to resolve technical issues when appropriate.
• Mentors and develops team members to ensure skill sets align with their technical needs and career goals.
• Facilitates brainstorming activities to collectively create and share ideas for solutions, design, efficiency, and quality goals.
• Evaluates team members on their technical performance and provides feedback.
• Exhibits depth and breadth of knowledge, skill, and experience in the enterprise service tool strategy.
Communicating for Impact:
• Provides appropriate information to multiple levels of stakeholders in a tailored and effective manner.
• Develop technical options for clients and stakeholders to drive collaborative solutions to complex issues.
• Ensures understanding for all communications and follows up with action items resulting from corresponding presentations.
• Communicates complex ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner so that others can understand.
• Presents persuasive messages and addresses all audience concerns or reactions.
Customer/Market Focus:
• Supports process changes to be more responsive to customer requests.
• Adapts service tool strategy / products based on changing customer needs and feedback.
• Negotiates technical solutions with commercial clients and stakeholders based on resource constraints.
• Coaches team members to be customer focused and how to communicate with stakeholders.
Managing People:
• Manage difficult situations of conflicting priorities and expectations, as well as change management with team members and internal clients.
• Seeks inputs from direct reports and considers all views while making decisions.
• Ensures proper coaching and mentoring of employees to align their career goals with the enterprise needs.
• Recognizes team and individual achievements and celebrate product and personnel milestones with the group.
• Regularly reviews employee performance and provides constructive feedback.
• Oversees a global team to produce positive business results.
Influencing Through Expertise:
• Communicates enterprise service strategy concepts in a clear and concise manner so that others can understand purpose, goals and effects.
• Exhibits depth and breadth of knowledge, skill, and experience in service tools and effect on machine / engine system designs.
• Provides others with opportunities to develop their skills to plan for future leadership opportunities.
• Challenges requests and encourages cost / benefit analysis before starting implementation.
• Coaches others on how to collaborate with stakeholders and ensure fact based communications.

The location for this position is Mossville, IL
Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
This position may require up to 20% travel.
