Job Description

Summary:

The Part-Time People & Culture Assistant supports talent acquisition and employee onboarding processes with a primary focus on HRIS-related tasks and system support. This role partners with hiring managers to ensure accurate and timely processing of recruitment and onboarding activities within the HRIS, while also serving as a front-line resource for employees and visitors.

Job Responsibilities:

- Support talent acquisition activities by assisting hiring managers with HRIS (Workday) processes, including job postings, requisition support, candidate workflow assistance, and data accuracy.
- Assist with onboarding new employees by processing onboarding tasks within the HRIS, preparing new hire materials, and ensuring required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Monitor recruitment and onboarding workflows to identify missing or incomplete items and follow up as needed.
- Provide basic HRIS troubleshooting support for hiring managers and new hires, escalating issues when appropriate.
- Support the preparation of new hire communications, welcome materials, and onboarding resources.
- Assist with maintaining accurate, confidential recruitment and onboarding records and performing periodic data audits.
- Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for walk-in visitors and respond to general People & Culture inquiries.
- Assist with process documentation and continuous improvement of talent acquisition and onboarding procedures.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the People & Culture team as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

- Experience with or knowledge of HRIS platforms; Workday experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Understanding of recruitment and hiring workflows.
- Knowledge of onboarding compliance requirements (I-9, background checks, policy acknowledgments — as applicable)
- Data entry accuracy and comfort auditing records for completeness
- Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices preferred
