Job Description:

JOB DUTIES: Provide information to customers by phone, e-mail and in person concerning game laws, regulations, season dates, application processes and educational literature. Maintain databases, run reports, issue and keep files for multiple Divisional issued permits. Process employee expense reimbursements for the division and prepare and audit invoices for payment. Obtain travel authorization for staff and assist with their travel arrangements. Perform word processing requests, including letters, memos, reports, assist with mailings and photocopy requests for assigned staff. Potential to serve as back up for entry of commodity requisitions and Permanent Payroll into the state accounting system for approval. Assist with Divisional inventory, surplus, and general statewide office support as assigned.


 

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.


 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Organizational skills and computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access) are needed to create and maintain  databases.  Ability to communicate effectively with agency staff, and to supply needed reports to administrators and meet associated deadlines.  Applicants with a general knowledge of the agency’s mission and basic wildlife management principles are preferred but not required.
