Job Summary

Reporting to the Associate Director Financial Services, the Collections Executive will primarily perform collection functions and maintain the finance contracts. He/She will resolve any financial disputes in a diplomatic and professional manner and is expected to perform other related receivable functions. While carrying out the job, he/she will ensure that all audit requirements are adhered to.

The Collection Executive is also required to perform administrative duties for the Collections Team in Singapore and other regional sites if necessary. Duties include making frequent outbound collection calls, managing the team’s email account, cancellation paperwork, letters, payoff quotes, collections batching, month end reporting.

Core Work Activities

1. Contacting members for delinquent loan instalments as well as overdue maintenance fees (yearly).

2. Maintain & oversee of the department’s mailbox to resolve member’s issues & problems.

3. Prepare re-acquired & revocation summaries for management reviews & approvals.

4. Preparation of the weekly, monthly reports for management reviews.

5. Follow-up on actions with the month end ageing report.

6. Assisting in the ad hoc assignments & projects from management from time to time.

7. Undertake training for the team on the best practices for collections.

8. Review & streamline processes to improve the efficiency & effectiveness of the department.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum GCE O Levels
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in consumer finance collections
  • Persuasion and negotiation skills are essential
  • Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills
  • Well-organised and has a keen eye for detail
  • Highly service-oriented and is an effective team player
  • Able to handle all matters in confidentiality
  • This role is expected to communicate to English or Bahasa Indonesian speaking guests. Knowledge of English and Bahasa Indonesian language is essential.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
