Responsibilities:

  • Technical Lead for day-to-day network operations, ensuring the network infrastructure's stability, reliability, and performance. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to traditional Cisco routing, switching, security and Cisco ISE. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Meraki, including switching, routing, wireless, and security. 
  • Support and maintain Zscaler ZIA and ZPA solutions to enhance network security and user remote access. 
  • Support, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform configurations within Acrisure’s Azure networking environment. 
  • Help support and maintain IPSEC tunnels, traffic security rules and filtering within Palo Alto firewalls. Effectively navigate firewall monitoring / logs to troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity. 
  • Assist in management of company IPAM software (Infoblox). Creation & management of IPAM, DHCP, DNS records. 
  • Support, troubleshoot, maintain, & procure circuit infrastructure for the company that aligns with building a robust, highly available and fault tolerant network. 
  • Actively utilize LogicMonitor NMS to address alerts & triage impacted network devices, systems, and services. 
  • Ensure LogicMonitor NMS accuracy and efficiency through consistent maintenance & review. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help support network solutions that align with business objectives. 
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures aligning to business standards. 
  • Actively monitor & support the ServiceNow queue for incidents and service requests to ensure pre-defined SLAs are satisfied. 
  • Respond to Major Incidents & outages and help lead a cross-functional team toward a timely resolution.  
  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure clear understanding and execution of project requirements. 
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to address network escalations during non-business hours. 
  • Act as a technical lead and escalation point for the network operations team. 
  • Assist the manager in technical tasking, project management and prioritization for the team. 
  • Knowledge transfer with junior engineers and helpdesk to “shift left” as much as possible. 
  • Actively seek opportunities to create efficiencies & improve network performance, processes, and workflows. 
  • Responsibly track project and task work and provide regular updates in organization’s project tracking software. 
  • Seek to improve any knowledge gaps through continuous improvement & education. 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an IT operations role, focusing on network engineering. 
  • Expert troubleshooting skills with Cisco LAN/WAN and Meraki. 
  • Experience with Zscaler ZIA and ZPA is required. 
  • Knowledge of Palo Alto firewall management, configuration, and logging. 
  • Knowledge of Azure networking. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, specifically focused on networking. Experience with use of network tools such as: Wireshark, PuTTy, SecureCRT, etc. 
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for network escalations. 
  • Availability to work during primary hours of 8pm to 5pm EST, Monday to Friday. 
  • Strong ability to multitask and balance workload in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong sense of project & task ownership with a self-starter mindset.
