Job Title:   Instructional Designer & Digital Learning Specialist

Team: Sales Enablement & Learning

Location:  Wayne, PA

Overview of the role:  As a member of the Sales Enablement & Learning Team, you will be responsible for creating compelling learning activities and course content for Hartford Funds’ sales organizations.  You will work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify training needs, create online learning materials, and use multimedia tools to facilitate and enhance the learning process.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Hartford Funds Sales Team Core Competencies.
  • Continually improve and evolve learning objectives based on core competencies.
  • Conduct research and collaborate with SMEs to curate interesting and effective course content.
  • Design and manage online content for learning lessons.
  • Develop ongoing governance processes for all digital learning resources.
  • Imagine and create new learning experiences and environments.
  • Design learning activities, assignments, and assessments that facilitate knowledge acquisition, skills development, and competencies in an effective and appealing manner to optimize learning.
  • Build a strong partnership with compliance to ensure conformity to internal and industry requirements.
  • Develop a learner tracking methodology and provide regular reports to sales management.

Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience in the financial services industry.
  • Prior experience with developing training content.
  • Knowledge of effective learning and development methods.
  • Strong familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices.
  • Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Superior project management skills.
  • Passion for learning and education.
  • A general understanding of how to think about and build curriculums.
  • Interest in online learning management systems/technologies.
  • Ability to connect and partner with colleagues across department lines.
  • Video editing capabilities a plus
  • FINRA Licenses a plus

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

80,000-110,000
