The Senior Data Analytics engineer will use extensive RDBMS and SQL skills to build all reports and perform ad hoc data analysis required to meet customer requirements, including but not limited to operational, inventory, billing, and productivity reporting. These reports will be delivered via Excel, SQL Server Reporting Services, and Microsoft Power BI.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Learn and remain current on all functional aspects of digital solutions that impact data for operational reporting, including but not limited to repositories containing data from: ERP, Warehouse Management System, automation systems, middleware components, and associated logging
Develop hands-on familiarity with processes in a reverse logistics warehouse environment to inform understanding of underlying data
Develop, document, and socialize requirements for all reporting deliverables, including the creation of mock reports and dashboards
Work with data warehousing resources to ensure that all required data elements are available to satisfy client/internal reporting requirements
Write complex SQL queries to satisfy client/internal reporting requirements
Build reports in Excel and SSRS and dashboards in Power BI
Perform ad hoc data analysis as required by client and internal management
Perform quality analysis of all results to validate the accuracy of data
Not a remote or hybrid role; requires daily presence at office/facility
What are the requirements needed for this position?
4 years’ experience in working with Relational Data Management Systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server or Oracle, including but not limited to…
Experience writing complex queries using subqueries, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), derived tables, and temporary table structures
Strong command of window functions including ROW_NUMBER, RANK, PARTITION BY and related analytical functions
Proficiency with data transformation techniques including PIVOT/UNPIVOT operations
Ability to write parameterized queries and utilize variables
Understanding of JSON data structures and the ability to query them using standard JSON-related SQL functions
Demonstrated ability to optimize query performance through appropriate use of temporary structures and query design patterns
Ability to decipher and modify complex stored procedures
Strong familiarity with IDE tools like SQL Server Management Studio or Oracle SQL Developer or Quest Toad
4 years’ experience creating reports with SQL Server Reporting Services, including tabular, matrix, and drill-through reports; as well as the management of subscription- and snapshot-based reporting objects
4 years’ experience using advance Excel functionality like pivot tables, charts, and advanced formulas and functions
2 years’ experience working with Microsoft Power BI, including the creation of dashboards through data visualization, advanced understanding of DAX, and proficiency in using Power Query.

Pay Range:
$86,000.00 - $143,700.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
