Software Engineer Intern - Undergraduate

About the Team:

The Retail Services team is the backbone of the PlayStation Store experience, driving everything from browsing and wish-listing to personalized recommendations. We are responsible for high-performance APIs across all platforms and focus on enhancing the customer experience through innovation, creativity, and experimentation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Transform data to ensure optimal storage and seamless delivery to players
  • Build scalable APIs that will be used by millions of PlayStation users globally
  • Analyze the performance of new features to ensure the best possible player experience
  • Secure publisher data to ensure that confidential information is protected from unauthorized access

What We’re Looking For:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Expected to graduate by Spring 2026
  • Proficient in Java and object-oriented design concepts
  • Familiar with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Knowledgeable in RESTful API design
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to iterate over solutions

Eligibility:

  • Able to work during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 16th - September 5th.
  • Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.
  • Open to students who are U.S. citizens or international students with an F-1 visa.
  •  Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

 

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$41.50$50 USD
