What is the Franklin Templeton Public Market Investments Business Management and Strategy Team responsible for?

Public Market Investments encompasses the specialized investment management teams of Franklin Templeton including ClearBridge Investments, Franklin Equity Group, Templeton Global Investments, Mutual Series, Brandywine Global, Martin Currie, Royce, Putnam Equity, Franklin Templeton Fixed Income, Templeton Global Macro, FTIS, Franklin Income Strategies, and the Global ETF business.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Business Management Analyst?

The Business / Financial Analyst will proactively support the head of business management and strategy in all areas pertaining to the daily management and strategic business needs of FT Public Market Investments platform.  This role requires a strategic mind-set as well as analytical skills and the ability to apply those effectively to achieve results.

  • Assist in various special projects and strategic initiatives, process improvement efforts, and financial analysis and reporting to support decision making

  • Analyze and interpret financial and other business metrics and present findings to be included in executive presentations

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain appropriate management reporting and contribute to new process design, development, and execution

  • Maintain product action initiative reporting

  • Provide support for special projects related to strategic initiatives

  • Assist in the review and maintenance of product action and pricing processes and reporting

  • Leverage FT functional areas to resolve escalated issues

What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics

  • Minimum 3-7+ years of investment industry or finance experience – knowledge of the asset management business and product vehicles a +

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (i.e., formulas, pivot tables, charts, and graphs)

  • Advanced knowledge of business desktop applications (MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrated experience working with data to illustrate a story and business case

  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities

  • Ability to contribute to team goals, communicate recommendations, and foster innovation and creativity to improve processes and enhance the reporting/business needs for Public Market Investments

Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $110,000 and $150,000.
