Program Overview

  • The GWAM Ops grad program supports 8 different business units under the Operations umbrella, with locations in Toronto, Waterloo, Halifax, and Montreal.
  • The GWAM Operations organization is comprised of several business units. Depending on aspiration and fit of successful candidates, you may be placed in either of the following organizations:  1. Performance Measurement and Analytics - Adding value to investment process by delivering timely, consistent, and high-quality performance measurement, attribution, and analytics services. 2. GWAM Data Office - Leading the transformation to ensure data is leveraged as a strategic asset supporting our business goals.
  • Comprehensive training program that focuses on three key, foundational areas: Customer Experience, Data Analytics, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Professional development events that focus on building soft skills, networking, and mentorship.
  • A community of new graduates working in GWAM operations from across locations, all willing to learn and connect with each other.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Utilize analytical skills and critical thinking to ask questions, understand business drivers and needs, and bring order and precision to scope and requirements on initiatives.
  • Capitalize on ability to build and foster positive, effective relationships to strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Apply the training and knowledge gained appropriately – data mining, analysis and visualization, process assessment, root cause assessment, prioritization, presentations of your analysis, customer needs and NPS.
  • Deliver documented solution requirements and propose solutions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Lead meetings and present information using strong communication skills to all levels within the organization.
  • Articulate and prepare our business partners for changes that are introduced.
  • Propose business decisions that drive results and solve customer problems.
  • Day to day activities, depending on the team, could consist of valuation oversight, trade processing and reconciliation, risk oversight, vendor management, tax compliance, security lending, financial reporting, client on boarding, shareholder record keeping, data management, creation of dashboards etc.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Graduating in Spring 2025 from an accredited university with a degree in Computer Science or related Discipline.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$60,000.00 CAD - $100,000.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
