■ 職務内容
日本・韓国におけるElsevierのデジタルプロダクトポートフォリオをリードし、成長させるプロダクトディレクターを募集します。
本ポジションは、看護・医師向けソリューション全体の戦略策定から実行、パフォーマンス管理まで、エンドツーエンドの責任を担います。

長期的なプロダクトビジョンの策定、投資判断、複数プロダクトラインの実行管理を行い、日本・韓国のプロダクトおよびコンテンツ開発チームを直接マネジメントします。また、APACエンジニアリングやグローバルのプロダクトリーダーシップとも連携し、地域プロダクトの成長を推進します。

グローバルマトリクス環境での戦略性・リーダーシップが求められる、非常に重要な役割です。
 

■ 主な業務内容

【1. プロダクト戦略・ポートフォリオリード】
・日本・韓国向けデジタルヘルスケアプロダクトの長期ビジョン・戦略を策定
・顧客ニーズ・市場動向・事業目標に基づくマルチイヤーロードマップの構築
・成長機会の特定、新規プロダクトの企画、投資判断の推進

【2. プロダクト開発・実行管理】
・プロダクトライフサイクル全体(企画〜開発〜ローンチ〜改善)を統括
・エンジニアリング、UX、マーケティング、営業、CS との連携による高品質なプロダクト提供
・収益成長・継続率・プロダクトパフォーマンス向上のための最適化

【3. リーダーシップ・チーム育成】
・日本・韓国のプロダクト/コンテンツチームのマネジメント・育成
・プロダクトマネジメントの基準・運営リズム・成功指標の確立
・顧客中心・成果志向のプロダクト文化の醸成

【4. 顧客理解とグローバル連携】
・日本・韓国の医療現場、規制、デジタル活用動向を深く理解し、プロダクト戦略に反映
・グローバルのプロダクト・テクノロジー・プラットフォームチームとの主要窓口として連携
・グローバルプロダクトリーダーシップへの参画

 

■ 応募資格・経験
・学士号必須、修士号歓迎
・デジタルプロダクトマネジメント経験 10〜12年以上(複雑なポートフォリオのリード経験含む)
・プロダクトマネージャーの育成・マネジメント経験
・医療、教育、ライフサイエンス、その他規制産業でのデジタルプロダクト経験
・モダンなプロダクトマネジメント、アジャイル開発、データドリブンな意思決定への深い理解
・グローバル・マトリクス組織での業務経験
・戦略思考、コミュニケーション、ステークホルダーマネジメントに優れる方
・日本語・英語でのビジネスコミュニケーション能力
・AI活用・データドリブンヘルスケアへの関心または経験があれば尚可

The Japan & Korea Product & Content Development organization brings together content editors, product management, engineering, and delivery teams to build high-quality, customer-centric solutions aligned to local clinical practice and education needs.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Product Director to lead and evolve Elsevier’s local digital product portfolio in Japan & Korea. This role has end-to-end accountability for product strategy, execution, and performance across our nursing and physician solutions.

The Product Director will set the long-term product vision, oversee portfolio investment decisions, and ensure strong execution across multiple product lines. The role will directly manage product and content development resources in Japan & Korea, and partner with APAC engineering and global product leadership teams in driving the growth of our local product portfolio.

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong strategic thinking, people leadership, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex global matrix while staying deeply connected to the Japanese & Korean healthcare market.

 

Key Responsibilities

1.     Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Own and define the long-term product vision and strategy for Elsevier’s local Japan & Korea digital healthcare products.

  • Develop and maintain a cohesive multi-year product roadmap aligned with customer needs, market trends, and business objectives.

  • Identify growth opportunities, new product concepts, and drive portfolio prioritization and investment decisions
     

2.     Product Development & Execution

  • Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle execution, from discovery through delivery, launch, and optimization.

  • Partner closely with engineering, UX, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure high-quality product delivery and successful go-to-market launches.

  • Support revenue growth, retention, and product performance goals through ongoing optimization.
     

3.     Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Japan & Korea product and content team.

  • Establish clear product management standards, operating rhythms, and success metrics.

  • Foster a strong customer-centric and outcome-driven product culture across Japan & Korea teams.
     

4.     Customer Insight and Global Collaboration

  • Stay deeply connected to the Japanese & Korean healthcare ecosystem, including clinical practice, regulatory considerations, and digital adoption trends, translating insights into clear product direction and measurable outcomes.

  • Act as the primary product interface between Japan & Korea and global product, technology, and platform teams to ensure alignment with global product strategy while advocating for local Japan & Korea needs and priorities.

  • Contribute to global product leadership forums and initiatives as a Japan & Korea product leader.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

  • 10-12+ years of experience in digital product management, including leadership of complex product portfolios.

  • Proven experience managing and developing product managers.

  • Strong background in digital products within healthcare, education, life sciences, or related regulated industries.

  • Deep understanding of modern product management practices, agile development, and data-driven decision making.

  • Experience working effectively in global, matrixed organizations.

  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Fluency in Japanese and English, with the ability to operate professionally in both local and global settings.

  • Experience or strong interest in AI-enabled or data-driven healthcare solutions is a plus.
