Job Purpose

Provide leadership in managing the site material storage processes, material movement processes, and logistics infrastructure with adherence to all safety, quality and compliance standards. 

Responsible for Logistics team which includes production planning, inventory controls within site, purchasing, warehousing and shipping. 

Ensure uninterrupted supply of finish goods to commercial as per demand.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning

  • Contribute to developing strategy to ensure site striving excellence in supplying good quality of products to the market. 
  • As a member of Site Leadership Team, contribute developing site stratedy and its excusion.      

2. Operational Business

  • Direct the logistics team in matters related to customer service, purchasing, product planning, materials planning, warehousing and shipping. 
  • Contribute to the logistics Network Plan and to the COP process integration.
  • Prepare and monitor annal budget and quarterly projections.  Deliver on commitments with focus on volumes, site inventories and spending. 
  • Maintain strong relationship across the logistics network to build a fast flexible and reliable supply. 

3. Compliance and Procedural Implementations

  • Ensure strong compliance in Quality, EHS, Legal and other critical parts of the business related to the area responsibility. 
  • Ensure Data Integrity compliance and improve the DI control (ALCOA principle). 

4. People Management & Development

  • Provide leadership and coaching to the team to ensure the team feels engaged, developed, capable and valuded. 
  • Ensure sufficient resource is in place to deliver balanced leve of support to the site.    

Knowledge/Education/Experience Required

Educational Background

Minimum Level of Education

  • University degree in scientific subject or business management

Area of Specialisation

  • Stats
  • Commerce
  • Business management

Preferred Level of Education

  • Qualification in a supply chain related discipline or MBA
