Key Responsibility

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: -

  • Act as field-based scientific expert on the assigned therapy area, disease area, clinical practice and competitor landscape
  • Develop insights which will assist in the development and execution of innovative Medical Affairs strategies and plans that clearly support GSK development of medicines of value for patients and customer, through own expertise and external interaction
  • May assist in the development of research project proposals, and forward them to appropriate Medical Affairs staff for funding consideration. Whilst Medical Affairs colleague must not solicit CRT proposals from HCPs or institutions, they can engage in discussions with EEs regarding research proposals/ CRTs. The Medical Affairs colleague can discuss the available evidence and data gaps to assist in the development of CRT proposals.
  • Respond in a timely and accurate manner, to unsolicited requests for on or off-label information or safety concerns from HCPs.
  • Deliver Medical Education Activities in alignment with the principles of Scientific Engagement
  • Provide regular product and disease training internally to facilitate the building of knowledge capability of the commercial team.
  • Must at all times reflect the medical nature of their role, be fair, balanced, non-promotional, scientific and evidence-based. MSL must ensure full compliance with GSK Code, SOPs and local laws & regulations for all country medical and promotional activities, in line with the principles of Scientific Engagement.
  • Attend scientific meetings to gather information on recent data being presented on products and disease states of interest to GSK
  • May involve in the promotional and non-promotional material copy review to ensure these items are in compliance to local regulations and industry code, and GSK internal policies and guidelines
  • Understand medical strategic priorities and work in collaboration with other internal stakeholders in Medical and commercial teams
  • Ensure adverse events and product complaints are reported within 24 hours

Basic Qualifications:

 We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Strong knowledge in Healthcare System and other ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry
  • Undergraduate / Postgraduate degree in a relevant course of study, including pharmacy, medical sciences, immunology, physiology, microbiology or other scientific subjects
  • Experience in an MSL position highly valued
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese
  • Can do attitude, high learning agility and a passion for patient welfare

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Master degree or above
  • Pharmacy degree
