Job Description

Acciona are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer for our SMP team. This role will be instrumental in the construction of a Desalinisation Plant project based in Alkimos.

The Project

The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source - A new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos. At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year.

Key accountabilities for the position:

  • Manage mid to large size projects to schedule and budget.
  • Keep management advised of all quality, schedule and budget variances in a timely manner.
  • Manage subordinate or other discipline resources to quality, schedule and budget requirements.
  • Preparing project documents and reports.
  • Data and document entry into various platforms.
  • Prepare contract amendments, change order documentation, and claims documentation.
  • Support proposal opportunities that are strategically aligned with your group

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • At least 2-5 years of previous work experience in Mechanical installation in Water Plants.
  • Previous experience in Supervision of mechanical equipment and documentation of suppliers
  • Proactive and motivated person
  • Working Team approach.
