 Summary 

In this role, you will serve as a critical contributor to the stability, scalability, and continuous improvement of Vizient’s enterprise application and infrastructure environment. You will operate at the intersection of technology, operations, and customer support, ensuring reliable performance across systems that support both internal teams and external clients. This role requires a seasoned technical professional who thrives in complex environments, brings a proactive problem-solving mindset, and is motivated by optimizing systems, processes, and user experiences. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence while enabling innovation and automation across the application ecosystem. 

Responsibilities 

  • Maintain, enhance, and support enterprise applications and infrastructure environments that underpin Vizient’s technology ecosystem 
  • Provide advanced application administration and Tier 3-level troubleshooting support, resolving complex and escalated issues 
  • Evaluate business and technical requirements to recommend and implement appropriate technical solutions and specifications 
  • Manage application testing, configuration, deployment, and ongoing administration activities 
  • Partner with internal and external customers to ensure systems are properly configured and operating as intended 
  • Monitor system performance, follow up on issues, and ensure timely resolution to maintain service reliability 
  • Identify manual or inefficient processes and recommend automation and optimization opportunities 
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational manuals, and knowledge-base resources 
  • Capture and report customer feedback, recurring issues, and potential enhancement requests 
  • Educate, train, and support team members, contributing to shared knowledge and team capability growth 
  • Continuously drive improvements across Vizient’s enterprise application ecosystem through proactive analysis and innovation 

Requirements 

  • Relevant degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in enterprise application administration, infrastructure support, or related IT disciplines. 
  • Experience identifying opportunities for automation, system optimization, and continuous improvement. 
  • Extensive operational leadership experience in early-stage or high-growth environments, ideally within product, technology or innovation portfolios. 
  • Background as a Chief of Staff, senior program manager, or operations lead, with both strategic foresight and tactical capability. 
  • A builder’s mindset  with proven experience designing new teams, workflows or operational systems from scratch. 
  • Executive presence and exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, facilitate alignment, and represent venture progress at the highest levels. 
  • Strong command of Agile and Scrum frameworks, with the fluency to guide execution approaches, not just participate in them. 
  • Operational rigor and technical fluency that’s comfortable managing workflows, reporting systems and PM tools. 
  • Experience integrating and aligning with privacy, legal and compliance functions within a fast-paced development context. 
  • Proven ability to lead resource planning, budgeting, and hiring efforts in collaboration with senior functional leads. 
  • Adept at driving clarity and alignment across complex stakeholder networks, ensuring accountability and execution at scale.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.
