Job Description:

Lead Area Sales Manager, Europe – UPS Supply Chain Solutions (Enterprise Healthcare Freight Forwarding)

Join UPS Supply Chain Solutions (UPS SCS) as the Segment Manager (Lead ASM) for Europe, where you will drive the commercial strategy and performance of the Enterprise Healthcare segment across the regional freight forwarding business. In this highly strategic leadership role, you will lead, mentor, and elevate a team of Enterprise Account Managers across multiple European markets, each responsible for major enterprise healthcare accounts—including global pharma, biotech, medtech, and clinical supply leaders with complex, multilane and multimodal logistics needs.

You will guide your EAMs in developing and executing longterm commercial strategies, expanding revenue across our air, ocean, road, brokerage, and temperaturecontrolled services, and ensuring UPS SCS remains the trusted, compliant partner for large enterprise healthcare customers.

This position is ideal for a seasoned sales leader who thrives in crossregional environments, enjoys shaping strategy at scale, and has deep expertise in healthcare, cold chain, and freight forwarding.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Development of European Sales Managers

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Enterprise Account Managers (EAMs) dedicated to enterprise healthcare customers across Europe

  • Build a highperformance culture with strong collaboration, accountability, and customer excellence

  • Set clear goals, KPIs, and development plans for each EAM

  • Conduct regular market visits, joint customer sessions, coaching reviews, and talent development programs

  • Promote consistent adoption of global sales standards and best practices across all countries

Strategic Commercial Growth & Enterprise Customer Oversight

  • Own regional revenue performance for enterprise healthcare accounts across air, ocean, and road freight forwarding

  • Translate UPS’s global healthcare strategy into regional enterprise execution plans

  • Guide EAMs in identifying expansion opportunities across lanes, markets, and value-added services

  • Support major opportunities, RFPs, and multiyear enterprise negotiations by providing strategic guidance and executive presence

  • Drive alignment between commercial, operations, engineering, healthcare quality, and global product teams

Customer Relationship Management & Market Positioning

  • Support EAMs in building and maintaining seniorlevel relationships with enterprise customers (Director, VP, CSuite)

  • Ensure consistency in value proposition messaging for UPS healthcare coldchain solutions

  • Monitor and share insights on market developments, regulatory trends (GDP/GxP), and competitive landscape affecting enterprise healthcare

  • Act as the senior escalation point for major service issues, strategic concerns, or contract renegotiations

Governance, Pipeline Discipline & Forecast Accuracy

  • Ensure highquality pipeline management, sales governance, and forecasting discipline across all EAMs

  • Oversee adherence to UPS’s commercial processes, pricing governance, and customer segmentation

  • Present regional performance, risks, and growth opportunities to senior UPS leadership

  • Lead crosscountry commercial cadence routines and operational alignment meetings

What You’ll Get

  • A senior leadership role with strategic impact across Europe

  • Competitive compensation and performancedriven incentives

  • Permanent contract with access to UPS global leadership development resources

  • Advanced training in healthcare logistics, cold chain, GDP/GxP compliance, and enterprise solution design

  • Opportunity to shape and influence UPS SCS’s enterprise healthcare strategy at a European scale

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent senior experience in sales, logistics, or supply chain

  • Proven track record leading sales managers or regional leaders, ideally in freight forwarding

  • Expert understanding of enterprise healthcare logistics and temperaturecontrolled supply chains

  • Experience managing or influencing large multicountry or crossregional portfolios

  • Strong commercial acumen: complex negotiations, RFP leadership, enterprise contract strategy

  • Executive communication skills and confidence interacting with senior customer stakeholders

  • Strong analytical abilities and financial understanding (profitability, margins, forecasting)

  • Ability to travel frequently across Europe to support markets, customers, and UPS teams

  • Leadership style that motivates, empowers, and builds longterm talent pipelines
