DEPARTMENT BACKGROUND 
The Supply Chain Management (SCM) team is responsible for coordinating the development of production plans that efficiently meet customer demand, while considering cost, cash flow, and timing. We play a key role in both short-term and long-term planning to support financial reforecasting and capacity reservation for the desired model and powertrain mix. It is essential to consider the capabilities of each production plantincluding shift patterns, line speed, flexibility, and model event schedulesto ensure the creation of a CarFlow that aligns with the sales plan. The SCM team consolidates forecasts for both vehicles and parts to establish accurate cash flow and financial targets. 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION 
 

Mission 

The Powertrain Production Planning team, a part of the SCM department, is responsible for overseeing all powertrain production planning activities, including engines, gearboxes, and components. Our mission is to align powertrain supply and demand with all stakeholders across long, medium, and short-term horizons. We ensure the timely delivery of all powertrains to meet customer vehicle demands while securing capacity and allocation to support Nissan Group's business objectives. 

 
Key responsibilities 

  • Coordinate the entire Powertrain supply chain for Nissan plants to ensure vehicle demand is met. 

  • Secure monthly and yearly Powertrain supply for vehicle plants through regular planning activities. 

  • Analyze and understand demand and supply fluctuations to better support customer needs. 

  • Develop and monitor KPIs and dashboards to provide recommendations to management. 

  • Monitor production and supply performance, coordinate recovery planning as needed. 

  • Ensure the implementation of business continuity processes within the team, including process automation and standardization. 

  • Support new model launches by ensuring Powertrain capacity and ramp-up plans are in place for a smooth launch.

Required background/experience 

  • College/University degree or higher. 

  • Understanding of and experience in multicultural and cross-functional management. 

  • Preferably experience in SCM, plant operations, and/or distribution functions. 

  • Experience with project management methodologies, including process and/or systems design and implementation. 

  • IT Skills: 

  • Mandatory: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 
  • Preferable: Familiarity with Tableau, VBA, Access, and Visio. 
  • Languages: 

  • Mandatory: Fluent in English. 

  • Advantageous: Proficiency in French and/or Spanish.
