The Claims Compliance Analyst will review and analyze various aspects of the Claims compliance functions, support reporting activities, and undertake additional responsibilities as directed by management. This role supports the Claims organization in achieving departmental compliance goals. Performance will be assessed based on Supervisor’s/Manager’s observations and external and internal feedback. The Claims Compliance Analyst is an individual contributor responsible for leading one or more compliance operational activities. This role contributes to the execution of established compliance initiatives in all possible ways.

Job Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Gather, analyze, and distribute compliance information to meet the needs of business partners and facilitate appropriate outcomes.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Claims and Claims Compliance departmental service standards, guidelines, systems, workflows, reports, forms, products, and other relevant information necessary for work assignments.
  • Complete assigned daily compliance support activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Contribute assistance that enhances and enables the achievement of compliance objectives by demonstrating teamwork and collaboration to elevate partner and customer service.
  • Seek opportunities to improve compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Analyze and understand the implications of the business environment, including compliance processes.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of compliance training.
  • Analyze various aspects of business activities, including manual and automated compliance processes, and create data import files for compliance processes.
  • Provide analytical support for various compliance reporting activities.
  • Create compliance reports to fulfill user requests, conduct data sampling, project analysis, or verify testing results.
  • Stay abreast of changes in compliance procedures and identify and communicate compliance process enhancement opportunities to management.
  • Lead or assist with departmental and organizational projects.

Certification

  • Insurance certifications or affiliation with industry group a plus

Work Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a related role
  • Experience creating and understanding insurance analytics highly desirable
  • Experienced practitioner of process analysis and modelling a plus
  • Experience with claims handling processes and systems a must
  • Experience in workers’ compensation claims highly desirable
  • Experience with project management, Quality Assurance, auditing, and a plus

Pay information:

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The national average salary for the Claims Compliance Analyst, Medicare is $50,000 - $69,000 with 12% bonus potential
