Summary 

Ensure the cleanliness of the facility through efficient departmental management.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•    Create and implement departmental policies and procedures to support and engage an efficient, productive and motivated workforce
•    Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure overall facility cleanliness
•    In conjunction with the Management team, assure accurate employee records including attendance and disciplinary action
•    Recommend, and implement disciplinary action as necessary following company guidelines and procedures
•    By direction, track expenditures within department to stay within department’s budget.  Assist Operations Manager in developing operating budget for Housekeeping department
•    Research training opportunities for department and make recommendations for participation
•    Arrange annual training program for entire Housekeeping staff
•    Attend pre-convention meetings and weekly events meetings. Review Event Documents and prepare daily/weekly worksheets for the Housekeeping department
•    Complete employee evaluations or assistant Manager in completion of staff evaluations
•    Delegate interdepartmental tasks pertaining to Housekeeping operations
•    Supervise crews
•    Communicate Departmental event charges to Event Management in a timely manner 
•    Other duties as assigned


Education and/or Experience          
•    Must have minimum of five years knowledge of general cleaning and techniques relative to Housekeeping procedures 
•    Must have knowledge of scheduling/staffing requirements for industry related field
•    Must have a minimum of three years experience in proven supervisory role in field.
•    Minimum high school diploma, some college course work desired

•    Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
•    Demonstrated problem solving, with strong communication skills both verbal and written
•    Excellent organizational, planning and inter-personal skills

•    Extended periods of walking, some bending and stooping.  Occasional exposure to various cleaning chemicals.  Ability to work irregular/flexible hours including nights and weekends are expected as dictated by event schedules.
•    Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds (lbs).
•    Ability to work at different heights, including using tools such as a ladder to reach.

Wage Range: $20.50/hour - $23.00/hour
