SUMMARY:

The Inventory Supply Planner is responsible for translating demand forecasts into actionable inventory plans and ensuring the right products are available at the right time and place. This role involves managing inventory at the SKU level, optimizing supply across multiple channels (retail and eCommerce), and ensuring inventory is allocated to North American stores efficiently to meet or exceed demand. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to balance supply and demand to achieve high in-stock rates and minimal stockouts across all sales channels.

Reports to: Director Planning and Inventory Management 

Location: Los Angeles (In office Tu/Thur and as needed)

What You’ll Do:

  • Demand Forecast Integration: Review and analyze program/color demand forecast plans and translate these forecasts into detailed inventory supply plans at the SKU level, optimizing inventory by channel (eCommerce and retail).
  • Inventory Planning: Build and maintain an inventory supply plan that balances store demand, minimizes excess stock, and ensures high availability of products across both retail and eCommerce channels. Monitor inventory levels and adjust plans as needed to reflect changes in demand, seasonality, or product lifecycle.
  • Allocation Optimization: Responsible for allocating inventory to the North American retail fleet of stores. Ensure that store allocations are aligned with regional demand and sales trends to meet or exceed forecasted sales.
  • In-Stock Rate Management: Proactively manage stock levels to ensure high in-stock rates for both retail and eCommerce channels. Address potential stockouts or overstock situations and adjust replenishment schedules as necessary.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the wholesale, merchandising, demand forecast planner and logistics teams to communicate inventory needs, resolve issues, and align on strategies to optimize inventory management across all channels.
  • Inventory Visibility and Reporting: Maintain up-to-date inventory reports and metrics, providing visibility into inventory levels, allocation efficiency, and potential gaps. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory performance, stock levels, and in-stock rates.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline inventory allocation processes, improve forecasting accuracy, and enhance the overall efficiency of inventory management systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Address any inventory-related issues such as product shortages, overstock, or distribution delays, and work to resolve them in a timely manner to minimize disruption to sales and operations.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain management, or a related field (retail or eCommerce experience preferred).
  • Proven experience with demand forecasting, inventory allocation, and optimization at the SKU level.
  • Strong understanding of retail supply chain dynamics, including both eCommerce and physical retail channels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficient in inventory management systems and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain tools (e.g., Netsuite, SAP,, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.

Parachute takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. The estimated pay range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000.
