Consumer Pulse is at the heart of consumer intelligence. We work with rich data sets (500 million+) such as news media, social media, consumer complaints, product reviews, and many more.  We also use modern data engineering and ML / Gen AI to solve large scale problems that have meaningful impact to P&G’s consumers, to help drive new product launches within multiple categories.

Our consumer research department operates under Global Business Services and is the arm of our business that drives strategic IT services to all our business departments. In this role you will work with many different business to drive grow in our product categories including R&D, Marketing, and Analytics and Insights.

Job Responsibilities

  • Working closely with various Product Managers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, vendors, and our Data Analysts.  

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Scrum team – can include Data Engineers, analysts, and/or AI Engineers

  • Transform and optimize our current AI Engineering processes and practices

  • Design, build, and maintain AI powered systems including the use of LLMs

  • Operationalize ML/AI models as core components of our products, and check data quality.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (Product Researchers, Marketing, Data Analysts) to define and build proof of concepts and experiments

  • Cost & performance optimization, support, monitoring & troubleshooting.

Job Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or applicable field

  • Minimum of 3 years experience building AI solutions.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Engineering in roles of progressive responsibility

  • Experienced in machine learning frameworks and libraries (eg. BERT, PyTorch, etc…)

  • Advanced proficiency in Python

  • Very strong software development foundation including CI/CD, automated testing

  • Experienced in Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, etc…)

  • Strong data structures and data modeling foundation.

  • Practical experience in conducting code reviews, with significant attention to code quality, readability and maintainability.

  • Familiarity with containerization technology and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Practical experience and a lot of passion for AI/ML technologies and practices including MLOps.

  • Strong oral/written communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or applicable field

  • Experienced in Azure AI offerings such as Azure AI Studio

  • Experienced in optimizing for a high performing engineering team

  • Hands on experience building NLP or RAG solutions, agentic workflows, and using LLM/data frameworks (eg. LlamaIndex, Langchain)

  • Experienced in front end development (eg. Web apps using React and CSS frameworks)
