ABOUT THE POSITION
The Merchant Coordinator supports the US Apparel Leader in delivering financial targets in wholesale, retail, and digital channels. As a subject matter expert with focuses on the competitive marketplace, local consumer, sample management, and systems management.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Be the voice of the consumer and passionate about their needs for outdoor.
Communicate with local teams gathering insights on market, trends, and business opportunities.
Make assortment recommendations and select relevant styles based on these insights.
Support the merchant team that builds seasonal strategies, delivering financial results and maximizing volume and profit.
Assist in meeting prep-collecting samples, preparing decks while being agile and flexible.
Provide product recommendations by gathering competitive intelligence.
Provide insights as to what is working and not working with the assortment.
YOU ARE
Proficient and understand financials and applications needed to drive results specific to apparel business.
Excellent in communication, accuracy, execution of product details to cross-functional teams.
YOU HAVE
1-2 years of experience managing a business segment i.e. market research, Buyer, Assistant Buyer, Planner, or product merchandising.
Business degree in business administration, finance or marketing.
Previous retail experience a plus
