Manages the development and operations work of an application integration and platform team that develops, integrates, and maintains an assigned application suite, common services and platform. Responsible for defining, implementing, and tracking metrics of team performance. Coordinates team activities with internal technical groups to ensure that information is shared across teams and technical services are available.
• Directs development and platform teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard development practices
• Participates in budgeting and capital equipment processes and quality improvement activities for the development organization
• Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project/ program objectives are met in a timely manner and has an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing systems analysis and applications development projects and programs
• Ensures a sound technical infrastructure and qualified resource base is maintained
• Leads the team in the development and adoption of best practices in development tools, problem resolution processes, design practices, and requirements gathering techniques
• Manages Operations in the team to define Service Level Agreements commensurate to the clients’ need for Corporate Applications, Integrations and Platforms
• Provides 2nd and 3rd level support for the applications, integration and platform suite and ensure trouble tickets are completed as defined by Service Level Agreement
• Manages and fosters the relationship of vendors providing support to the team
• Works with Project Managers, Business Managers, and Technical Managers to establish and monitor project plans, work plans, milestones and issues
• Reviews and validate plans, estimates, and cost/benefit justifications for projects
• Defines, implements, and tracks metrics of team performance and ensure schedule expectations and budgets are achieved
• Creates and maintains team policies, processes, standards and workflows
• Adheres to corporate policies and standards aimed at minimizing costs related to the acquisition, implementation and operation of Corporate Applications, Integrations and Platforms.
• Maintains knowledge of current technology, equipment, prices and terms of agreements to minimize the investment required to meet established service levels
• Evaluates alternatives, perform appropriate cost benefit analysis, and recommend solutions that minimize costs commensurate with acceptable risks
