The Sr. Director of Marketing Operations is a pivotal, demanding, and broad role.  At its core, this role will be responsible for leading the marketing operations team, and ensuring the broader marketing team’s people, processes and technology are aligned to deliver on the growth drivers required for the business. You will report to the CMO and be a key member of the marketing leadership team. As the owner of the marketing team's tech stack, keeper of the marketing “ledger” and truth-teller of the team's performance, you are the marketing team's central nervous system and feel accountable for TCP’s overall go-to-market success. 

 

In this role, you will lead a high-performance team which includes marketing operations and web operations. You will have multiple senior management stakeholders (CMO, sales leaders, Director of RevOps, VP of FP&A, Salesforce Administrator) who are reliant on your quality of execution and subject matter expertise. Additionally, you will be responsible for continuing to mature the marketing department’s ability to measure and improve its performance; your team will be an indispensable resource to every TCP marketer as they look to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our marketing programming. 

The ideal candidate will have grown and matured marketing operations functions previously and worked as a key, strategic leader on the team.  

 

As a Sr. Marketing Operations Manager, you will:  

  • Lead overall marketing data management and insights delivery:  
  • Improve marketing team's performance with data-driven insights, proactively working with the demand gen team and web operations team to understand and solve website performance and program/campaign issues.  
  • Drive our testing methodology and cadence to ensure that we are constantly in “test and learn” mode. 
  • Develop and operate reporting dashboards to provide real-time insights into website and campaign performance, manage leads, track activity, ensure quality, and measure marketing and sales goals.  
  • Develop and document marketing workflows, manage marketing data, analyze performance, and align cross-functionally with RevOps. 
  • Manage lead forecasting and partner with sales and marketing leadership to set targets across departments.  
  • Facilitate regular reporting and presentation content preparation.  
  • Regularly advise key partners across marketing, sales, finance, and the executive team of insights on marketing performance to ensure cross-functional alignment on the best possible data-driven marketing strategy 
  • Oversee the management and ongoing health of the marketing team's tech stack:  
  • Ensure the vibrancy and modernity of our web properties and their ability to deliver against pipe generation and awareness goals.  
  • Manage the integrations between martech and our CRM to build strategic marketing and sales programs and provide transparency into performance. 
  • Identify, select, engage, and manage vendor relationships to improve our investment and team productivity.  
  • Manage technical aspects and optimization of the marketing tech stack, ensuring seamless data flow among our systems and platforms. 
  • Championing and coaching to operational excellence:  
  • Develop and grow team operations members through formal coaching and mentoring of employees.  
  • Shepherd the adoption, management, and ongoing review of operational processes in pursuit of efficiency. 
  • Support the marketing team's planning, budget management, project management, and platform/tools management.  

  

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:  

  • 5+ years working in marketing technology and operations at growth companies 
  • 3+ years directly leading a marketing operations/coordinators team 
  • Deep understanding of the marketing technology landscape, including MarTech, AdTech, and WebTech 
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience interpreting sophisticated data sets and translate insights into action 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively connect with team members at all levels 
  • Strong project management with demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines, with experience developing and implementing process improvements and documentation 
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and drive and influence business growth 
  • Strong understanding of Customer Lifecycle and Lead lifecycle management 
  • Deep knowledge of and hands-on experience using marketing automation tools to implement programs, design automation workflows, and manage databases 
  • Marketo and Tableau experience a plus 

 

  Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 
  • This role requires 25% travel time.
