Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and distributed systems using .NET technologies. The role involves building high-performance APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and efficient software. You will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis and design to production support and continuous improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices using .NET Core.
- Build scalable, reliable, and event-driven applications following enterprise engineering standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the design of distributed systems and service integrations.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Support production environments, investigate issues, and drive root-cause analysis.
- Document technical designs, development processes, and implementation details.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing within the team.

Professional & Technical Skills

Must Have Skills

- Strong experience with C# and .NET Core.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Understanding of Microservices Architecture and service-to-service communication.
- Experience with Event-Driven Architecture, messaging systems, or asynchronous processing patterns.
- Knowledge of Distributed Systems concepts and design principles.
- Experience with SQL databases and writing efficient queries.
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to independently drive deliverables.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working on standalone services, backend workflows, and integration platforms.
- Exposure to high-throughput and low-latency system design patterns.
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerized deployments.
- Previous experience in Banking, Financial Services, or related domains.
- Experience with production support and operational excellence practices.

- The candidate should have minimum 5+ years of experience in .NET core, Microservices and Event Driven Architecture.
- This position is based at our Pune Magarpatta office.
